 Same weeks ago I spoke about an exchange in Portugal with NEVA Association. It’s true!?! We would like to organize an exchange in the summer of 2008 for youngsters from the NEVA Association. It’s more promotion to the EVS and we expect through  Intercultural Dialogue, give opportunity to participants in an international exchange…

 

 Exchange:

 Name: VOLUNTID – Volunteer Intercultural Dialogue

 Type: Action 1.1 Youth Exchange

 Project Date: 1st to 8th July 2008 (including travel days)

 Preparatory Visit: 17 and 18 May

 Place: Évora, Portugal

 Participant countries: 12 countries

 Number of participants: 60 youngsters (5 person (1 ex-volunteer + 4 youngsters) for each country between 16 and 25 years old) + 1 team leader (no age limitation)

 Cost: 30% travel until Lisbon Airport + 15 Lisbon to Évora. The Project support: accommodation, food, local transport, activities and visa.

 Budget: Each sending organization received 350 Euros for preparation the group.

 

 Project Details

 Main:

- Promote EVS for the participants and local community;
- Promote a European year of Intercultural dialogue between the participants and local community;
- Promote an active participation;

 - Give an opportunity for a new experience to youngsters from less developed regions;

 - Motivate participation in EVS;

 - Foment the pro activity and creativity between youngsters;

 

 Target group:

 - European youngsters from 18 to 30 years old;

 - Youngsters from the local community;

 

 Activities:

 - Open fair for the local community;

 - Workshops about street animation and theatrical arts;

 - Workshops about EVS;

 - Intercultural night between participants;

 - Cultural visits;

 - Traditional games with and within the local community.
